And so over to Blackburn where I did my first ever talk, and where I will be presenting my evolving Beyond Mechanical Landscapes talk.

The club meet at the Canberra Club which is on the A59 at BAE Systems Samlesbury site. Don't worry - you're not going on site, there is a separate gate off the A59 for the club. The club website is http://www.blackburncameraclub.co.uk/wp/.

New article posted - The Life Magazine Formula for Visual Variety in the Photo-Essay

I first wrote about this on my blog in 2009, so I thought it was about time I revisited it with examples of how i've applied it. It's a great framework for documentary photography that is well worth looking into and it's something I've been using for years.

This is the first article of many that I'm currently writing - I have more ideas than I have time currently!

Book Sales Page Now Active

In the excitement of getting the website up and running, I omitted to test all the pages properly and I've only just realised that I hadn't fully activated the store facility to buy my book. Anyway, it's active now, just hit the 'Books' button on the toolbar at the top of the page, hit the link below, or alternatively go to my Selz store here.

Upcoming talk - Holme Photographic Society, 21st October 2016

My next Mechanical Landscapes talk will be at Holme and District Photographic Society on Friday 21st October 2016. I've had a bit of a refresh of the talk and it now includes another video clip. Can't say too much other than that Michael Caine makes an (on screen) appearance.............

The talk will start at 7.45pm in the Memorial Hall, Main Street, Burton In Kendal, LA6 1NA.
